Mels Carbonell, Ph.D. in Human Behavior and Leadership, is President of the Leadership Institute of America. He has published five books: Extreme Personality Makeover, So You're Unique, What's Your Point, Discover Your Giftedness, What Makes You Tick, Solving The Mystery of Motivation, and How To Be Personality Wise.
As a minister since 1966, Dr. Carbonell lead " Florida 's Fastest Growing Church " in 1975. He also led the church to have the "Largest First Anniversary" in U.S. history according to CHRISTIAN LIFE MAGAZINE with 1,471 people attending. His second church doubled in attendance in less than two years. Specializing in the science of motivation, he has devoted a lifetime to helping others do their best.
As an educator, Dr. Carbonell co-founded a private school that grew to nearly 400 students in ten years. He is committed to helping both public and private schools improve the educational process through improving educator's task and people skills in and out of the classroom.
In 1984, Dr. Carbonell was invited to the White House for a special briefing with President Ronald Reagan. He is a Dallas Theological Seminary graduate deeply committed to helping business-leaders, educators and ministers improve their effectiveness. Spanning the globe consulting and training, Dr. Carbonell 's specialty is communicating and developing resources that create results-oriented people and processes.
As a human behavior specialist, he has conducted training for Columbia University, Walt Disney World, Zig Ziglar, AT&T, DuPont, John Deere, Acura, Fleetwood/Coleman, Southern Bell, GA Bankers Assoc., Dr. Paul Meier & New Life Clinics, Rapha, Ridgecrest, Motorola, American Express, AIG, Baptist Sunday School Board, Southwestern Seminary, Trinity Seminary, Dallas Seminary, Mary Hardin Baylor, ACSI, plus many of America's largest churches and schools.
